from Elaine Cline: The Spokane County Interstate Fair will run from September 6 through the 15th. Besides featuring lots of fun food booths and carnival rides, the fair has wonderful exhibits featuring animals such as horses, goats and other farm animals. The arts and crafts building is located right as you enter the ticket gate and head east. There are three or four sections featuring canned goods, fruits and veggies, cooking, and flowers, as well as crochet, knitting, quilting, sewing projects and many many crafts. This building holds so much beautiful craft work and perfectly showcases the immense talent in our city!! I highly recommend a visit there, you won't be disappointed.
Monday, September 9th is Seniors Free Admission Day (55+) all day long and Tuesday, September 10 is Sensory Day (no loud music and noise!). There are shuttle buses available to bring you to the fair from a pickup point located at Spokane Community College for $2.00 fare, whereas parking at the Fairgrounds is $10.00 per day.
I will have three dolls showing in the crafts section, two sock monkeys in western wear and a native American doll. I will also have two paintings featured in the paintings gallery. I will be at the fair most likely on September 9th as it is free admission day.Â
Marge Mero: I also have a piece of art/calligraphy at the Spokane Calligraphy Guild exhibit at the Fair. Remember, Monday is Senior Day (free)
Thanks, Elaine and Marge. We'll look for you on the 9th!
