As I ease myself out the door (leaving it open a crack) I wanted to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to remain active in my 70s and 80s. I've enjoyed doing the website for a while, (thanks Katie for taking over) and the publicity for a decade (thanks Bari for stepping up). The last couple of meetings, you've surprised me with your gifts of art and the additional designation (Honorary Member). So now I guess I'm Charles W. Harmon, OSM, HM.....Hmmmm. Not really, just plain old Chuck.
Thanks Chris, Erika, Joyce, Mary, Marge, Katie, Bari, Gayle, and Antonio, for the wonderful portfolio of art. If I missed anyone, please forgive me. (there's one I can't read the signature) I flip through it every so often.
In the last three years, it seems like the club has come up a notch or two in talent, and we've had some outstanding shows. Painting With Friends attracts 6-10 or more folks every week
(not always the same ones, either). And Janene's class on Friday has been eye-opening! Oh, and T Kurtz' leadership is paying dividends (see the Yupo workshop coming up in March)
T also got us into the JACC, brand new experience for us all! Then there's the Barrister and Liberty shows and a new opportunity out in the valley at Mirabeau (see Bari & Mary's emails).. And we have our own in-house instructor so, a final thought, if you paint with acrylics, take a Friday class from Janene. You might get hooked!
Thanks again to the greatest art organization in Spokane!

Wow, I never knew I knew someone so famous. Great letter! Nancy.
